“The Sun bows as pain vibrates" 9/14/2012
“The Sun bows as pain vibrates.”
---
“It’s happened again,” She muttered to herself with a soft, airy sigh. She watched slowly and routinely as the sun bowed its golden crown to the universe. All while the moons silver crown slowly peeked up from the horizon as it was formally invited when the sun was to depart. Together, they were the keepers of the universe, the true Gods. A soft breathing was heard as the girl began to cry, her tears washing away the crimson water on her face.
“Sweet nectar, you make me a monster. Sweet nectar, you make me a beast. Sweet nectar… You kill me.” She chanted softly to herself as the routine rocking to and fro ensued. The claw marks in her face were deeper than before, and shone a deep red in the full moon’s pale glow. “Sweet nectar, sweet… Sweet…” she trailed off as a cracking sound shot off into the silent night like a gun. Her body began to assume the form it was used to, the foamy mouth, hair, fangs, glowing eyes, and all. This was who she was.
She looked around her paradise with a gloomy, resentful gaze as the very last bit of sunlight gave its final bow. The pain within her own body vibrated as if there was something inside itching to escape. Growling and twitching violently in the dark shadows of her forest, Celeste howled in agony as the transformation completed itself. Her glowing gaze was set on her surroundings. Her rage was at its highest point. Turning slowly, she opened her hand and swiped at a close by tree, tearing off a chunk of bark the size of her arm. “Sweet nec… Swee…” her old form sang faintly in her own thoughts, but she was not herself now. It was time to feed.
Taking off at a run on all fours, she robotically found the village again. The first sight to come to her was a small boy playing in the mud, clearly having scampered off from the parents and other toddlers in the area. Her fangs poked out from behind her teeth as her long tongue slid across her foam encrusted lips. Slowly, she stalked closer and closer, her eyes dead set on the prey. Finally, after making sure no danger was near, the chase began. From behind the boy, she set forth at full speed, sinking her teeth into his neck. Emitting a shrill squeal before the windpipe was broken; the boy quickly became a rag doll in a pool of its own red nectar. Putty in her jaw. Without further thought or efforts, she ran off back into the woods with her prize. Her prey.
A scream was heard in the distance; the mourning cry of a mother, the rage of a father. Not finding the murderer to their child, the parents after several long, horrendous hours, faced the reality that they ought to get back to safety themselves. Slowly, the sun’s crown was seen between the mountains to find an intense agony. The beast, filled and tamed, now looking just like the others living in the village kept the secret locked in her heart as tears strung her eyelids with the intensity of a thousand burning suns. The universe slowly mourned the loss of the youth, and wished to see no more. Dark storm clouds approached the horizon, knowing their duty. The sun bowed as the pain throughout vibrated.
