Flying High

Birds after a short while from being born are kicked out of the nest and told to fly,
Upon thinking of that, I decided to try.
When I stood in the tree, looking down,
Upon my face I drew a frown.
People are born after about thirty nine weeks,
When birds are ready in less than two weeks.
While in that tree I thought to myself,
How something so small, something that could fit on a shelf,
Could be so ready for the world naturally, and hardly need any care.
How something so small, could soar high in the air.
When people are small, we need care, we need love,
We need things to help us soar up above.
These little things in life, which we normally ignore
Maybe not even birds, but everything you can or should adore...
Are all things that are ready naturally,
They were born ready, and hope someday you will see
We were all born differently, and unique...
We are one, and one alike.
