Don't Forget to Smile!

Smile! When walking down the street, what do you normally see? Most are smiling or in groups, some have a grave face, determined on their destination. Thats what most see, and it is socially acceptable to be seeing, right? Wrong.

My eyes. When I walk, i do see the smiles; so frozen, and practiced. I also see the grave faces; so determined, but why fake a smile like that? Why so determined? What are you expecting to happen?

The days when... I miss the days everyone could trust everyone, and you could simply leave your home unlocked when going out. I personally was brought up in the overprotective, locked up world, unlike my parents. I feel if people trusted more, and simplt accepted others, maybe things would change. Like that is going to happen.

Why can't it though? What ever happened to trust? We as humans are generally the same (with certain exceptions) and should be able to understand one another. I often sit and think about what could have happened and why no one seems to really notice or care a lot about the fact that trust is out the window. What about the rest of us? I hope I am not the only one seeing it. Open your eyes and look. If you don't care, you are just another one of those grave faces or frozen-smiling, happy-go-lucky types. Don't forget to smile.
